About The Seed Fund
The Seed Fund supports countries in turning climate and nature commitments into coordinated action by providing catalytic funding, technical support and strategic partnerships for Country Packages as part of the Forest & Climate Leaders’ Partnership (FCLP).

Our funders
The Seed Fund is funded through contributions from the Government of France, the Rob Walton Foundation, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and Conservation International.




Our people
Our global team brings together expertise in climate and nature finance, grant-making and conservation delivery. We combine technical knowledge with on-the-ground experience to design practical solutions and support locally led initiatives.
Meet our experts

Our governance
The Seed Fund is hosted and administered by Conservation International.
It is managed by a Secretariat, who staff and manage the fund, under the guidance of a Steering Committee made up of core donors.
Core donors are organisations that contribute €15 million or more to the Seed Fund.
Accountability & grievance mechanism
The Seed Fund is committed to acknowledging and honouring the rights of its local partners and stakeholders while promoting inclusive decision-making processes. Our grievance mechanism is used to ensure prompt responses and suitable resolutions to any issues that may arise from our partners or stakeholders.
